Costa Rica or Grand Cayman?

Planning a trip for late March using AmEx points. Can't decide -- Marriott Los Suenos or Westin GC? I've read reviews on both and am still indecisive. We want a place that has a beach, pool, spa and golf would be nice, comfy rooms, decent food (we're food/wine snobs) and peace and quiet. Just looking for a relaxing vacation with the option of doing something.....or nothing.

Thanks for the input!

We have been to both the Marriott Los Suenos and to Grand Cayman - but did not stay at the Westin, we stayed twice at the Hyatt. If your main interest is the beach, Grand Cayman has by far a better beach - just beautiful! Otherwise, we loved Costa Rica. The hotel was very nice and had everything you want, but we did not swim at the beach. The rooms were very nice, but not luxurious IMO. If you do stay there, request an oceanview with a balcony. Not all the rooms had balconies.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Marriott. The pools were beautiful, I enjoyed the spa (and found the prices of treatments there very affordable compared to other hotel spas I've been to), and we enjoyed the food there, especially at Nuevo Latino.

If you chose to go to Costa Rica, make sure that you do something outside of the resort. Costa Rica is so beautiful, and to experience their country was incredible. We would love to go back.

Hope this helps!
