Costa Rica Coast Starting a Food Truck
Does anyone in this forum know if or anyone that has taken a leap to put food out to the people on the coast. I want to start a stand, along side of road that makes a couple of items. Is it doable? We would like to try this for a while during a year away from the states.

You would need a permit from the Ministry of Health and the local municipality as well as a work permit. None of those would be easy for a foreigner to get. Doing this so openly, you'd attract a lot of attention from the police and they'd want to see that all your papers are in order.

This is very helpful.
Do you know the country well? I need directions from Jaco to Poes Volcano park. We got lost last year around San Juan airport to leave. I'll hit a forum as well. Trying to do the volcano during the week 1-day trip from Tarcoles..

I would want to do this legally though. Just an idea; extended trip planned next year. Last year cooked and this year will cook for village and liked doing it. Brought in garlic and northern beans and grits Red sauce... made meals for group dinners at casa we rent. We traded foods and it was fun. Since husband is Cuban and knows language and made friends in village, this was an idea that came to me... for in future. Can always dream.... on
