Costa Rica - 2 questions

While my family and I are experienced world travelers - we have never been anywhere in the Americas south of Cancun. So - I am approaching an upcoming trip to Costa Rica with a little trepidation. Two questions I am hoping some one can help me with.

a) For a variety of reasons - I am not really up to doing all the research and planning for this trip. I am seriously considering a travel agency to take care of most of the details. Can someone recommend a good one?

b) We are planning to go Easter week. I have heard that is a real busy week down there. What additional steps should I take given this?

With respect to a)... My wife's tastes run kind of high end - so we will be looking at the more luxury end travel agency spectrum.

Thanks for any input.

Rick

I would get in touch with Pat Hewitt. He posts here from time to time and have heard nothing but raves from the people who have used him. http://lovecostarica.com/

I second Tully's advice. Pat really knows Costa Rica
and has a place in Monteverde, I believe.

Gee. Thanks y'all! I truly appreciate the support of my Fodor's Friends.

You will notice that I had been posting more frequently. I am trying to get back into the habit.

However, last week was a wash. I live in New Orleans, and we got hammered by Hurricane Isaac. We had some minor damage, and we are attending to that.

But the biggest problem was going almost a week with no power, phones, or Internet. There is only so much you can do with a smart phone! Especially an old one like mine.

Everything is slowly returning to normal. You should hear from me more often!

Thanks again for the kind words.

Warm Regards to all.
