Club Med

Hi there,

I'm going to Club Med for the 1st time next month (Cancun). Just wanted an easy, relaxing & fun vacation. Any thoughts on what to pack??? I'll probably also do a day trip to nearby ruins. BTW, I'm female, 34. Thanks!

Bring bathing suits and super-casual clothing. Nobody gets dressed up at Club Med.

You will probably be in your bathing suit all day, with just a t-shirt or some other type of cover-up for lunch. As for evening, the dress is very casual - short, casual slax, sundress, etc. As for any day trips, all you need is shorts and a top. Make sure you have plenty of sunblock. I have been to 5 different Club Meds, 2 as a single woman(Cancun was one). The 1st time I didn't know better and brought dressy pantsuits. Boy, was I overdressed!

Actually, the correct reply to the second posted question, RobinBinNYC, is earrings. Evening wear is identical to daywear - just put on some earrings. Maybe go 1 or 2 shades darker on the eye shadow. Serious. Enjoy!!

Of course, I've already done the winter clothes swap in my closet. Back out with the summer clothes!! (and the eye shadow ). Thanks for the advice. Club Med offers quite a few excursions - to Chichen Itza, PDC, Isla de Mujeres, and others. If I could only choose one, which do you think I should go for?
