Cancun / Riviera Maya - Weather Update with Tropical Storm News?

Is anyone in the Cancun / Riviera Maya area at the moment?
I am due to fly there on Sunday 26th June and the current weather reports are worrying me somewhat. Wouldn't mind getting some first hand reports as to how it currently is and what they are genuinely expecting...?

Thanks for your help.
Lauren

Right now it's hot. Yesterday was hot. We did have 2 days of rain over the weekend. Went out at 7 with my dog and was too hot already.

Awesome. That's pretty good news. Thanks. But forecast seems like that won't last, or could go either way? Obviously it is just a guess but, i've spent so much money i don't have on this holiday!

The forecast says rain every day which is the typical forecast. It doesn't last and, actually, sometimes the clouds are a welcome event. The water is a perfect temp right now. Went swimming yesterday for an hour and it was gorgeous. I wouldn't worry about the forecast, it's usually incorrect.

Good. I just looked at weather.com and wunderground.com and neither are predicting anything, no development, except for some thunderstorms later in the week. Those are usually short-lived. No worries. Enjoy. Off to the beach!

No tropical storms or hurricanes in sight.

My wife and i are also traveling on 6/26 and are very concerned about the forecast. We are contemplating cancelling our trip and taking the loss.

This weeks weather forecast looks much different than next weeks forecast.

Anyone have thought about this weather news? http://hurricane.accuweather.com/blo...er=accuweather

Sorry, can't get your link to work but got the story a different route. The southwestern Gulf usually refers to the other side of the Yucatan peninsula and up towards Brownsville, TX. It may cause rain or it may not. If you're going to take a loss on this trip I would certainly wait to see what's cooking on Saturday.
