Can u recommend a lux AI in PDC or Riviera Maya?
Looking for a 4 nt romantic, pampering stay at an adults only all inclusive for august (hot, hot, hot, i know). Would like a spa, decent beach, decent dining, more interested in relaxing and pampering than any major activities. A nearby town to check out would b a plus. Have stayed in Cancun before but neither of these areas. I have had Royal Hideaway & secrets Maroma in mind....thoughts? Other recommendations? Swim out rooms or private pool might b nice...

When I started reading your post Royal Hideaway immediately came to mind. It really fits all your requirements. Secrets Maroma is also very nice, but is not close to the town of Playa and sometimes has large corporate groups booked there.
Royal Hideaway is pure pampering and relaxation and is close to Playa.

Any of the El Dorados especially the El Dorado Maroma Beach.
Also any of the Excellance resorts. We are looking at the Excellence Riviera Cancun, which in not in Cancun, but in Puerto Morelos. Between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. I would also consider Moon Palace.
Most hotels offer shuttle service to Playa del Carmen at least a couple of times per day.

This is a good site to do some comparison on several resorts:
Click on adult only and then the Riveria Maya. Tons of descriptions, photos and 360 tours.
