Cabos to Todos Santos

So after your help on a previous post I think I would love to go to Posada La Poza in Todos Santos after we have spent a week in Cabos. Not even sure I can get a reservation. Just the two of us would be traveling then. So, I can we travel between the two, would we need to rent a car?thank you so much.

If I can't get a reservation then I think La Paz or San Jose Del Cabo would also be good. Any hotel recommendations there would be appreciated.

I think a car is necessary, particularly if you want to go into TS downtown to eat. You would also want to explore the area.

I have no recs for La Paz. Where are you staying the first week? Not sure San Jose could offer anything much different than CSL.

I think I already mentioned by La Paz hotel recommendation:

I have only driven thru San Jose del Cabo, but agree with the thought above. I don't think they are different enough that I'd spend a week in Cabo then a week in San Jose myself.

You can get to La Paz from Cabo by bus. I actually flew in, used the airport in La Paz, my one trip there (I was two weeks only in La Paz staying at El Moro).

San Jose del Cabo is one of "Los Cabos". I prefer it to Cabo in some ways. It is a fairly typical colonial city and not extremely touristy. Nice downtown area with restaurants and friendly people. You can certainly go there for a night or two - or just drive there to see it. But it's not different enough I think for you to spend another week there.

You can easily travel between CSL and San Jose del Cabo. if you have a car the drive to Todos Santos is probably an hour or a bit more. Not much to see along the way.

Tidy- I don’t know if you are still considering Todos Santos, but we took a day trip up there a few days ago. We stopped in at this restaurant on the way:

It was in the small town of Pescadero, south of TS. A little tricky to find but it what a gem! An outdoor setting in their gardens. Fresh, deliciousness. Open from 1- 9 pm.
