Cabo San Lucas

My 19 yr old son is going with 6 fraternity brothers and one parent to a time share condo. Any places he should avoid as well as tips to stay safe & not get gouged$ by the locals & establishments. They are not taking a lot of money. approx $500.00 ea. staying for 1 week.

He should stay away from the Golf Courses... Even the twilight rate is WAY too much!

Seriously though, I think the amount of danger he encounters will be controlled by himself and his friends. Considering he is going with 6 fraternity brothers, I would caution him and his friends to always have at least one of them remain sober and be respectful of the residents. Tell them to keep in mind that they are visitors in another country.
As for being gouged, you don't have to buy it...

Recommend Enrique's on the Corridor for dinner. $10 buys you a steak and lobster or shrimp dinner with all the fixins. Live music and great margs too!

Cabo is a great place. A very big party atmosphere. The local police do not mess around down there...and will arrest anyone causing problems.

The Local Police do not mess Around down there. I beg to differ. If you have been reading the local Cabo paper they have had problems down there with the Police Putting the Bite on the Tourist in Cabo
Unless they want to be out of Pocket $50-$100 do not be caught on the street with cans of beer, Liqour, and open bottle etc. Etc. I have a friend who has seen it go down. Up against the wall and fifty bucks requested. People think that because booze is sold on the beach it is more relaxed down there. Not So.
