Bored in M.A.?

We're trying to figure out whether to spend 6 nights in M.A., or splurge and spend half of that in Osa - the extra expense of traveling down there is a big consideration, for sure, but is there enough to do in M.A. to keep us happy for nearly a week? (we're not that restless, and can be pretty content just chilling on the beach)

It's possible to have (a) too much of a good thing, or (b) way too much of a mediocre thing or (c) diabolically too much of a crummy thing. Don't you agree?

Okay...take a deep breath.

If you've ever gone on a trip in the past and stayed in one location and were content doing that - sure.

If you've ever gone on a trip and then talked about it to somebody after you returned and they asked if you saw _____? or ______? and did you do _____? or ______? but you did none of those things and then wished that you had - - consider going to another location after visiting MA.

I think your answer lies in your question. If you're quite content with chilling at MA, then follow your gut. Everyone's different.

What month will you be travelling? For us, 6 nights in MA would be at least 3 nights too long!!!! If you can get to the Osa (particularly from Quepos), do GO FOR IT!! It's a fabulous place--but then I wouldn't want to stay there an entire week either! But could manage if someone twisted my arm. . . . .as you said, one can "chill" anywhere in CR and have a great time doing so for any number of days. If you're wanting to experience the country, do move around a bit!

I would spend my week on the Osa. MA is so expensive and crowded- the Osa will keep you busy for a week give or take a month

Our last trip we did three nights on the Osa and four nights in Manual Antonio. It was just about right for me. I had a great time at Aguila de Osa, but was ready for some restaurant choices and, to be quite honest, some more people to hang with. I'm not what I consider a 'package tourist' and felt sort of like I was on someone else's schedule in the Osa. Obviously, if we'd stayed longer, I wouldn't have felt as compelled to fill my days with activities. I would do the 'splurge'. Jean

Yea- Jean is right. Many people want a selection of restaurants and shopping when on vacation- which you will have in MA. Six days worth?-maybe.
However if you can get to the Osa it might be the highlight of your trip
