Best hotel in/near Liberia
Hi all:
We need to spend one night fairly close to the airport and since we will have been staying in some very out of the way community tourism lodges, we want to have one last blast-mind-the-expense night of luxury, hot showers and great beds before coming home. What would be your pick for the best hotel in or near Liberia? Thanks.

What do you mean by near? 5 minutes from the airport or 30-45 minutes from the airport?
In Liberia itself, there isn't that much in the way of luxury to choose from--that I am aware of. There is a Best Western; Liberia is just not a town that many people overnight in, so it doesn't have much of a selection.
About 45 min away is the Four Seasons property--this is as luxurious as you'll find in Costa Rica.
Perhaps others will know of other options for you!

Hi and sorry for not being more clear. I just need someplace close enough to get to the airport for a 12:30PM flight. 45 minutes will not be a problem so I'll check out the 4 Seasons. Thanks.

If you're looking for "super luxe" that should do it for you. Also, in that same area, there are some very nice options that won't set you back so far. Allegro Papagayo and Fiesta Premier are down the same road as 4 Seasons--both would be good places to relax that last night.
