Best all inclusive in Playa del Carmen

We are looking for an AI in Playa del Carmen for family vacation, daughters 18 and 16. Good beaches and good food a priority.

Royal Hideaway, Riu Palace, Iberostar Quetzal/Tucan, Gala Resort would all be Great Choices.

I've seened all the above hotels and have stayed at the Gala. I would also recommend looking into the Bahia Principe in Akumal (about 30 min south of Playa del Carmen). We met alot of people there who had brought the children (about the same age as yours) There was alot to do there too. Both beaches were good though I think the Gala was just one step up (less rough water). Good snorkeling though at Bahia and the food was awesome (even the buffet was good). All the rooms had great views too. Good luck sounds like fun.

I agree with the Gala Resort. It has the best beach in Playa, with the least amount of crowding. The food is good, and it is much less stuffy with friendlier staff than the Royal Hideaway. have fun!

I stayed at the gala last week. The other comments were right on about the staff. They were nothing but helpful and fun. There were plenty of activities and they do have a teen club (although there weren't any teens around anywhere last week). It never had that crowded AI feel.
