Best All Inclusive in Mexico that will allow kids

Can anyone please help with an ALL inclusive resort that WILL ALLOW KIDS in Mexico. Would fly into Cancun or Puerto Vallarta. While we will have kids with us I don't necessarily want it to be a total kiddy land b/c I think the "teens" in the group will go nuts.

We are using points for flights. Would like 5 star maybe 4 and budget is open. Actually I want to be able to compare a 5 star to a 4 star and the offerings to see if it is worth the extra money.
Looking for:
-Nice Hotel
-Nice beach
-nice pool
-music by pool
-good food
-activities for kids
-mini disco / entertainment at night, etc.
-workout facilities
-ability to snorkel or fish there or nearby in an excursion, etc.

THANKS FOR THE HELP.

Puerto Vallarta has loads of All-Inclusives that allow kids. But I don't believe any of them are 5-star places. If you only care about a nice resort (not about being close to downtown), in PV look at the area they call "Nuevo Vallarta" or "Riviera Nayarit". This is the coastline to the north that has been developed with many resorts in the past decade.

"Best" means different things to different people. One of the best AI resorts in the Riviera Maya is the Grand Velas, but it is expensive.
For a less expensive resort on a good beach with activities for everyone, look into Sandos Playacar. It is not 5 star though. It also has an adults only section.
Iberostar Paraiso Lindo or Maya should fit your needs. Large resort on a good beach, great pools, LOTS of activities for all ages.

We stayed at the Grand Palladium Riviera about two years ago with my kids, who were maybe 9 and 11 at the time? We had a great time. Plenty to do, plenty nearby and great snorkeling right off the beach. You can find my trip report if you click on my name and then go to trip reports. I would definitely go back and so would the kids!

Re the post above on Grand Velas, there is no nightly entertainment there at all. No music by pool there. Some organized activities for kids but not much. I've stayed at the Ambassador section and it is not where I would choose to go with kids. Much more of an adult resort.
