Stayed at the Holiday Inn a few years ago and found it to be fine. Food was not great, but okay. You can compensate b/c there are so many great restaurants in P.V. you can take a break from the A/I thing.
The Solare is way out of town, so you'd be missing out on a lot of great stuff.
Haven't been to the other two.

Hi, we stayed at the Solare for our Honeymoon. It is a beautiful resort, lots of entertainment, great food. I found that it needed more restaurants, because you are very far from the city, and afterall, if you are at an all-inclusive you don't want to be eating out of the resort all that often, if at all. If I chose to go again, I would pick an all-inclusive that had a minimum of 3-4 restaurants, and more if I could get it. ALSO, make sure that the a la carte restaurant allows you to eat there more than once per stay. Solare has this restriction and we ended up eating in the buffet for 13 nights out of 14. After a while, it gets to be tooo much. Best of luck. I hear that the la Jolla Mismaloya is outstanding, but $$$$$

I hear the fiesta Americana has an all inclusive option now. This is a wonderful 5 star hotel. I stayed there when I was 14 and again with my sister at 27. Beautiful place. I wouldn't do the all inclusive thing in Puerta Vallarta. A) the drinks are inexpensive and B) there are many amazing restaurants in town.
