4 nights of honeymoon in CR

We have 4 nights after Arenal and Monteverde. Should we go to Manuel Antonio or Tamarindo? We'd be interested in beach, hiking, sightseeing. Not too much more driving. Also, I currently have tentative reservations in Monteverde at Hotel Belmar and in Manuel Antonio at Mango Moon B&B. KNow anything about them?

If you go to Tamarindo, you can stay right on the beach. (That's where we went, it was amazing, soooo relaxing. Just something about the fact that we had to stroll down the beach to get bkfst or dinner... Really nice.)

I understand that Manual Antonio is a protected park, so you'd have to stay in a hotel overlooking the beach, then drive, cab, walk? down to the beach each day. Can anyone offer more comments on this?

I found one place to stay that is literally on the beach in Manuel Antonio and one place that they say would be a 15 minute walk near the Si Como No Hotel. I'm hoping to be able to walk to beach, restaurants, town.

FYI, we stayed at El Sapo Dorado in Monteverde and it was AMAZING. In Tamarindo, we had a beachfront studio at Casa Rosa. Both were really great places at good prices.

I've been to Manuel Antonio without a car and it was no problem. Stayed at Villas Nicolas next to Si Como No. Walked down to the beach and took the bus back up. VERY cheap and easy. Could also walk to Karoloas, La Mariposa and other places as well. If you're concerned about not wanting to drive too much more, Manuel Antonio is a closer drive to San Jose than Tamarindo is.
