Zacapa, Guatemala - Know anything about it?

What is Zacapa like? How safe is the trip from Guatemala City to Zacapa? I'm participating in a Habitat for Humanity build there.

It's a small town, on your way to Esquipulas. I've taken the Rutas Orientales (4 hour trip) from Guatemala City and it has been fine. Just don't act touristy (flashing cameras, dollars, or jewelry) on the bus as you'll draw attention, and you should be fine. We've stayed in nearby Chiquimula, no problem. We're planning on taking this route when we go in a couple of weeks. Our adventures will continue to Puerto Barrios (equivalent of visiting Jamaica, 5 hours away) from Chiquimula.
