Your Favorite Puerto Vallarta Restaurant from My List

Hello everyone,

I’ve narrowed down some recommended PV restaurants from friends & family and would like to know which of the following is your favorite and why and any recommended dishes. Your help is appreciated. We won’t be in PV too long but would like to get some good grub while we’re there! Thanks!

Andele's Bar
Cafe de Artistes
Cafe La Olla in the Old Town.
Chez Elena
Chico's Paradise (20 min. drive) for lunch.
Fonda Chili's
Fredys El Tucan
La Dolce Vita
LeBistro
Mariscos Tino's in Pitillal
Memo's Pancake House
Papaya 3
Pipi's
Queto’s II
The Red Cabbage

THANKS!

Mine is Cafe de Artistes. Make sure when you reserve for dinner, ask for the outdoor patio.

I also love Cafe de Artistes. Memos is great for breakfast. I would eliminate Pipis -- ate there last Christmas and thought it was marginal; also very touristy and crowded. The restaurant at Hotel Linda Mar has a fabulous spot right on the water-it really is picture perfect-ate Sunday brunch there-not a big brunch person, but it was good & they'll make to order omelettes. Enjoy.

Thanks for all your suggestions!

I heard that Cafe de Artistes is a little on the pricey side. What is the average cost of a dinner?

I just returned from PV this week but I only ate at one of the restaurants on your list - La Dolce Vita. It was a casual night of pizza (started with fried calamari). I thought the pizza was excellent.

Although not on your list, I had other very good meals at Barcelona Tapas, Trio and Vitea.

I would add both Cabron and Tom's suggestions over those on your original list

There's a wonderful Spanish restaurant called Barcelona (I think) on top of a hill in downtown PV. Amazing veiws, great tapas & strong sangria!

sidenote- That list is old in the original post. Papaya 3 isn't around anymore. Chili's is under new ownership. There are two more new breakfast places on B. Badillo.
