Yellow Fever Vaccine

Cruising in January from Rio to Buenos Aries with a day trip to Iguazu Falls. Traveler's Health advises the the yellow fever vaccine if going to the Falls. Even for a day trip? Any advise would be appreciated.

Virtually no one was immunized when we were there 25-28 Oct, but we did apply Ultrathon.

Can you explain Ultrthon? An insect repellent?

mikemo Nov 6th, 2006 10:22 PM

Yes, Ultrathon is 3M's DEET repellent -very effective - inexpensive at WalMart - developed for the military.
We also used it in Panama's Darien where we avoided mosquitos and swarming Africanized bees.
