IT WORKS!!!
|
...I'm falling in love with Chacala and want to see it now before it changes anymore, but I'm wondering if it's too far up the coast for such a short space of time?
I cannot afford Majahua and think my children might be too loud (my two middle boys are autistic and can yell out and scream) for Mar de Jade! However I don't want anywhere that means I might have to look at the kitchen - this is my break! |
You're right, it does work!
Okay, traveling two hours up the coast to Chacala is nothing - fantastic news! I'm going to check out the accommodations listed in the blog (those pics were lovely) and then make my decision between somewhere in Chacala and Playa Escondida. At last! |
OK. Check out "Casa Monarca" on her blogspot, it's under the section on the right "Where to stay in Chacala" or "Lodging in Chacala". I can't remember which. Once on that section scroll down, down, until you see Casa Monarca(even has a small pool).
|
I've just emailed Casa Monarca and Villa Celeste. Did you see Casa Pacifica? It looks like it would be good for a family and the breakfasts sound delicioso! I've emailed them too! I'm just trying to find something about Paraiso Descondido now...

... and then there's this place, which looks lovely and would accommodate my big family, but the 'gated community' part sounds so off-putting and elitist! Gated is not us, why travel if one locks oneself away?!

I began a new post as my questions were changing. I'm new to 'posting' - what's the etiquette?!
|
Don't worry, no etiquette! As I'm truly afraid you will not get a lot of replys here about Chacala....
for fun take a look at www.playasparaiso.com 2.5 hours south of PV. I still like Chacala, but this place looks cool to bookmark for the future! |
I am jumping into this post. Going to Puerto Vallarta early December and after just beginning researching I decided I definitely want to do 1 night at Hotel Laginita in Yelapa. It sounds perfect and reminds me of the most beautiful place I was at in Costa Rica.
I emailed them today and was told there is a 3 night minimum. Has anyone heard of a single night opening up there last minute? I am so dissapointed. I just can't stay 3 nights - I have a timeshare week in PV. Is there any where to stay in Yelapa for 1 night? |
Hi Juldie,
Have a look at these sites about Yelapa... http://www.palapainyelapa.com/ http://www.yelapafun.com/ http://www.yelapaoasis.com/ I don't know anything about these other places, but Faithie might know. |
Faithie don't do this to me!!! I seriously considered going south from PV after Yelapa, but thought I'd do it on another trip. The whole area looks stunning and Playas Paraiso looks beautiful - I'm just going to have to plan another trip really soon!

try www.yelapa.info
A great site from a Canadian guy who has been travellimg there for years, we met him while there. Brads site is awesome, and he's a great help as well, met him to! The Oasis is owned by French Canadians, great food, lodging looked ok. |
...sending my deposit to Majahua later today - hooray!
Faithie, thanks for your help and patience. Maybe see you in Yelapa or Chacala after Christmas?!!! |
