Ah, thank you for that clarification. And thank you for the early morning tip. I definitely selected my days to be in Mexico City for the Virgin of Guadeloupe festival. I am in MC through the 13th (the day after) and so am also considering visiting the church on that day.

I’ll be leaving for 5 nights in Mexico City plus 3 nights in San Cristobal de las Casas in December and can’t wait! I live in a city approaching 4 million people and have traverled to NYC, Tokyo (twice), Istanbul (twice) and Paris more times than I can remember. So I’m very comfortable in huge cities. I’m grwatly looking forward to the culture, the food and since it will be Virgin of Guadeloupe day when I’m there, hopefully some fantastic street festivals.
What it would be the 2 or 3 things I can’t miss in Mexico City?

Other top 2 items on my visit:
- Diego Murals at several venues but especially at Secretary of Education and National Palace.
- Day in Coyoacan including Frida Kahlo Blue House/museum, Trotsky House/museum, Coyoacan Market & Coyoacan town square.
Also enjoyed:
- Anthro Museum
- San Angel Market
- Friday Night Wrestling at Arena Mexico
