Who knows Isla Mujeres on a budget?
The older 1 star hotels in town...what do you pay?...and where do you stay for the best/lowest room prices in town?
Do you have any e-mail contact #'s / info for the cheaper places?

IM has lots of inexpensive accommodation. Check out www.isla-mujeres.net for a list. Other good sites are www.islatravelers.com and www.islabuild.com - the latter have forums. You should be able to find something for around $25 a night.

There is a hostel on IM. Not sure of the room rates, but it is cheap and there is a restaurant there. Go north on Av Hidalgo a couple of blocks north of Rolandi's Pizzeria--maybe three--take a right for two blocks. It is across the street from a small market. Short walk to the beach.
