Which hotel?

I am debating which hotel I should make reservations. LOISUITES RECOLETA, CASEAR PARK, or SHERATON Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center?
Do you have any opinions?
Also, is it worth paying extra for the Loisuites Recoleta executive suite?

I just topped a post for you. Drdawggy is a respected expert on Buenos Aires. He recently found a hotel which he highly recommends.

Have you looked at the Regal Pacific? It is new and in my opinion is superior to any of the hotels you have listed.

That being said, none of the hotels you have listed are bad choices, but I highly recommend that you look at the Regal Pacifica as an alternative.

I have read that the best location to stay is the Recoleta area. This is my first trip to Buenos Aires and I will only be in the city for a few days. Where is the Regal Pacific Hotel located?

The Regal Pacific is downtown, as is the Sheraton. You will find proponents of several parts of town....downtown, where the Sheraton, Marriott, Regal Pacific, INtercontinental hotels and Sofitel hotels are located....Recoleta where you will find the Alvear Palace, C. Park, and Four Seasons, and Puerto Madero where the Hilton, FAena Park and Sofitel Madero are found.

Palermo Viejo is another excellent area, with lots of smaller hotels such as the Bobo, Home, and Five.

Each of these areas offers certain advantages and disadvantages.
I enjoy Palermo, but in terms quality/price, the Regal Pacific makes a stay in the downtown area a good choice imo....the interior courtyard of the hotel is an oasis, with none of the noise associated with downtown....get a room on the back and you will never know you are downtown. From the regal you can walk to Puerto Madero for dinner, and shop up and down the Florida stree ped mall, anchored by the Gallerias Pacifico mall, an archietectural gem....
