Which hotel?

Can anyone provide insight on which hotel to stay at in Cancun? We have it down to the Royal Solaris or the Gran Caribe. Both are all-inclusive but at opposite ends of each other. Thanks for your help.

NEITHER! the best all inclusive on the hotel zone is the Cancun Palace you pay $1400.00 for 2 adults 8 days 7 nights you get everything! Plus you get 2 free tours, and 1 manicure, pedicure, massage each, AND you can use all 7 Palace Resorts for free! Over 20 restaurants to eat in! We just got back and LOVED it! The rooms you can get a room with a balcony, no jacuzzi, or you get a room with a jacuzzi no balcony! Where else in Cancun can you stay at 1 resort and use all 7 properties?? No where else! We just got back and we payed $1400.00 for 2 of us through this website www.palaceresortsmexico.com

Jeff,

Is it better to be on the bay side or the open ocean side as far as swimming goes?

Well I did stay at a place called Club Las Velas 2 year ago and this was on the bay, it was a nice resort but a bit run down, the entertainment staff was excellent, but as far as the location goes, we had to take a ferry everyday to use the beach at Fat Tuesdays the bay was mainly used for waterskiing, ect.. The bay was not very nice, the beach at the Cancun Palace could get a little rough on certain days but most of the time we were there it was perfect! A lot of people hung by the pool more anyway, lots more fun with all the entertainment!

Have a blast!
If you go there be sure to check out the website I went through they have the best rates!

Debbie, can't help you specifically with your question but just can another person asking about a Cancun hotel the following website.
You can click on Cancun, then Hotels and see how many stars your hotels get and there's also a bulletin board/forum to ask your questions.
Perhaps an unbiased resident can help you.
Good luck!
