Where to stay for Pacuaree rafting trip

Where would be best to stay for 2 nights since we will do white water rafting and girls will hang around hotel. We also don't want to drive early at the morning to the river so closest hotel where rafting starts woud be the best.

We were picked up in San Jose and it was a long day. We went with Rio Tropicales (sp)and put in the river at a pretty remote location. You might contact the group you are rafting with about lodging near their place. I hope you have as wonderful a time as we did.

We could have chosen to break the river trip into two days and stay along the river in their lodge one night. That might be an option for you. You can check their website. Good luck

You could always stay in Turrialba, but of course you'd have to make the trip there one way or the other since the put in for the Pacuare is there. There is a beautiful hotel there called Casa Turire.

In town, we like the Hotel Don Carlos--nice part of town for being out and about (taxis at night, though).

We stayed at Casa Turire in Turrialba. It's a beautiful hotel. Your girls should love it. There's not much more in that immediate area.
