where to stay for a month
 

I'm trying to help my parents find an affordable, nice, safe place to stay on the beach for about a month next winter. They usually go to Florida (they live in Canada) but want to try something different. They're not very adventerous and mostly just want to lie by a beautiful beach. Any suggestions on hotels or villas?

Right now they're open to going anywhere (though they would prefer a direct flight).

look at locogringo.com -- there are some lovely villas/condos for rent in Akumal, Mex., south of Cancun.
