where to spend last three days on the beach?
Where would you advise us to go and chill out on a beach in paradise along the Pacific Coast - somewhere north between Samara and the Nicaraguan border is what i am looking for...nothing really fancy, just tropical paradise!
It is our last three days so its gotta be good... |
Playa Hermosa - El Velero Hotel. Right on the beach. Only 20 minutes to the Liberia airport also.

looks like a nice place ...but i need more choices to make a decision i will feel good about!
Anyone else?... |
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Capitan Suizo in Tamarindo. Great beach and pretty close to paradise. A wonderful way to finish your holiday!

Playa Grande is a beautiful beach. There are a few hotels on the beach, nothing fancy but it's a gorgeous beach. Also, not too far from Tamarindo if you want to go to town, but still pretty remote and relazing.

Sorry for the double post. My computer has been acting up today:)

Also Nosara, just north of Samara is gorgeous. Beautiful sandy beaches and a great little town.

Now we're talkin'...but i haven't heard much to do about nosara...?
|
Nosara is indeed a beautiful, long light sand beach. I hesitate to call it 'tropical' as there are only a couple palm trees on the entire beach. Near the end of the beach, there is more, taller vegetation you could sit under to keep out of the sun. You can also rent umbrellas cheap. The beauty of Nosara is that there are virtually no crowds. Very, very laid back as opposed to many area beaches near Tamarindo.
It's also very 'sleepy' as compared to Tamarindo. Not too much going on. It's a great surf beach and that's it's attaction for most people who go there...and for ones that aren't looking for a lot to do. There is horse back riding, you can rent kayaks for the Nosara river or ocean, fishing, and river tours. In the wet season there is a waterfall you can hike to, but it dry season, it's dry. Maybe head to Nosara from Samara and stay a night. You can always leave for beaches further north as mentioned, if Nosara is too quiet for you. |
