When should we go to Cancun?
 

We are considering taking our 2nd family trip to Cancun next year. Our 1st trip was 2 years ago, at the end of July. We wouldn't want to go during Spring Break, but, other than that, would consider any time of year. Climate-wise, what is the most pleasant time of year to go? Any recommendations for awesome snorkeling locations?

We go in January or February. Usually need a light sweater in the evening but the daytime is gorgeous. Snorkeling would be further down the coast. You can hook up with any good dive shop. Also you usually can make arrangements through your hotel. Have fun!

Although I've been there during just about every month of the year, I prefer February, but the rest of the year is great also. Have fun!

I have to agree--Jan or Feb. is the best time to visit. We have made at least 20 trips to the Yucatan-- We've gone in Jan, April, and June. April is VERY hot and lots of people are there for Spring break. Things get pretty wild.

I think late fall is wonderful too. I've gone a couple times over the Thanksgiving holiday and never found it overly crowded, but the weather was just perfect.
