What to wear in Buenos Aires and Bariloche
My husband and I will be in BA and Bariloche in March. We have read over and over that Argentineans are very fashionable so we want to 'fit in' and not look like tourists. What should we wear during the day when sightseeing and then at night when we go out for dinner? During the day, are khakis/jeans okay and then at night, should we plan on a suit jacket and black pants for my husband and skirt/dress for me? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Butch |
In Bs As, Depending of the place you go for dinner, men can wear like a nice sports shirt, and sport coat, or a suit with tie, if it is in the city, more or less as you would dress in NEw York.
In Bariloche, no suit and tie, elegant but casual. Women can wear anything that is good looking, again think New York... |
Thanks Graziella5b -- I think I've got it from here.

Uh oh. So for a tango show, my husband needs a sports jacket? I understand that we Americans do tend to dress down and sometimes downright sloppy, but I thought if he wore like a nice shirt and trousers he would be fine. Do men wear sandals with pants in BA ? (obviously asking about in hot weather)

"<u>Depending</u> on the show" and where you see it..
It might also be chilly in the evening and when we were there in Oct/Nov, most men carried or wore jackets during the day and at night. |
