what (not) to wear-Mexico City

Hi
Is there anything I should know about what to wear - or what not to wear - in Mexico City in mid-October? I'll be spending a lot of time in museums and art galleries. I'm a female and am comfortable in cities (Paris, NY, San Fran, etc) but have never been in Mexico before.
Thanks
Jess

Wear exactly what you would wear in October in New York or Paris.

If you were visiting in summer, I would advise dressing a little more conservatively, but in October weather you wouldn't be tempted to wear short shorts anyway.

Not to create undue fear, but do not wear jewelry. When we arrive at MEX you can always tell the native women, as the remove their jewelry upon landing.

Shorts especially for men are considered a NO NO in large inland Mexican cities. I did see a few European Tourist in Shorts on Morelia's streets this past Winter but the exception for sure.
Other than that US "Business Casual" is fine.
