What is the Quepos (Costa Rica) of Panama?

My husband and I love Quepos. But are looking for someplace new to explore. Panama is new to us. Quepos has guided saltwater fishing, good eats, kayaking, hiking and nearby rainforest to explore . Any ideas? What is the equivalent of Quepos in Panama?

We like interesting hotels, are not drinkers so night life not a big concern, though food is. we are retired but young.

We're headed to Bocas del Toro in a few weeks. It's def not as developed as Quepos, but looks to have really interesting hotels, good food in Bocas town and lots of interesting/adventurous things to do. We're going to Puerto Viejo and driving from there, or you can fly to Panama City and take a short fight.

Have you thought about Belize at all? We got the recommendation on this board after going to Costa Rica so many times, and we loved it. Great adventure activities, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, ruins, etc.

bocastesoroescondido.com kind of dodgy though More exotic
Kuna Yala contact Stuart owner of mamallena.com for best
Kuna Yala Info where I would go in winter. Light years
better more exotic than Quepos and Bocas.

If you did have any interest in Belize, we stayed at Chaa Creek and Victoria House - both great.
