What is the Max Weight Limit for a Canopy Tour?

I'm a big guy. Is there a wieght limit for the canopy tours?

I asked this question of a company in Costa Rica and they said that the lines can hold a couple thousand pounds. I would e-mail the company you are thinking about going with to see if they have any specific limits.

The weight limit for the Original Canopy Tour in Costa Rica is 240 lbs.

What are the names of some of the canopy tours in Costa Rica?

Thanks for the advice. Still a little nervous about hanging there and probably can't (won't) lose enough weight before I travel to feel secure.

I asked this same question before going to Costa Rica this summer. Once I got there, I was told, it's not so much a weight limit as a comfort level. Because of the way the harness fit, they may be rather uncomfortable for larger people, cutting into the ineer thigh or other area. I was told my almost 300 lbs. could go on any certified canopy tour I wanted. I don't think you'll have any problem at all, other than what I stated. Have a blast!

Thanks. I find that very reassuring. Maybe I'll miraculously lose weight before then, but I doubt it!

Keep in mind that the more you weigh, the faster you'll go, and it will be harder to stop.
