What is the best quiet, exclusive seaside resort in Mexico?

We are looking for a quiet, exclusive (private and safe) resort in Mexico that is for the non-party, non-casino type by the ocean for a honeymoon in the fall. Any feedback? Thanks

You could not do better than Las Alamandas. It's expensive and worth it. Web site: www.las-alamandas.com

SEVEN different beaches! Gorgeous lodgings, unbelievable service. MMMmmm. Very fine indeed.

Forgot to note location of Las Alamandas. Its about 80 miles south of Puerte Vallarta in an area called Costa Alegre. Las Alamandas will meet you at the airport in Puerto Vallarta.

You might want to check out Las Ventanas Al Paraiso in Cabo San Lucas. You can find information by looking under "Rosewood resorts" in the Internet.

WE stayed at the Tamarindo last September and it was truly divine. Utterly secluded and quiet, each room is a private palapa with its own meandering plunge pool. WE both agreed it would be the perfect place for honeymooners. We got a great package rate because the fall is down season. There is a sister hotel nearby - the Careyes that someone communicated with me over the 'net--she loved it also. You can view these places as well as other nice places in Mexico at the Different World Travel site. They respond quickly and are most helpful. good luck!

Check out www.choice1.com/villamontana.htm, in the village of La Manzanilla, Mexico on the Bay of Tenacatita!

Adios!

Lo De Marcos about an hour out of Puerto Vallarta is devine. A quiet little village, which takes you back in time. Some nice places to stay, we stayed at the Pretty Sunset Trailer Park with my sister from British columbia. another nice place is Sayulita or San Francisco. On the same highway as Lo de Marcos, but a little closer to PV. Have a nice honeymoon

The Royal Hideaway in the Playacar complex outside of Playa Del Carmen (50 miles south of Cancun)...
Check ALLEGRORESORTS.COM and I've got a few photos at http://albums.photopoint.com/j/album...084&a=10542336

Las Ventanas is one of the best resorts anywhere in the world...if you can afford it, you will love it...and the restaurants are out of this world...

I second The Careyes, 1 hr beautiful drive north of Manzanillo. It is quiet, exclusive AND secluded; private pools on terraces or private dinners on beach.
Or Villa del Sol in Zihuatanjo for mostly quiet, exclusive but with easy access to outside restaurants & activities. Just depends on what you are looking for. Tamarindo & Mamora are on our "list". Let us know where you go & what you find!
