Whale watching in Cabo San Lucas

We were in Cabo a couple of weeks ago and took a whale watching trip with Cabo Expeditions. Ricardo was our captain. The trip was great, lasting about 2 1/2 hours and costing around $65 per person. We saw humpbacks and grays. One gray surfaced and showed his fluke three times in a couple of minutes, I noted that while Capt. Ricardo chased the whales, he did not endanger them. We highly recommend their service.

That sound amazing. Glad you had a good time. What months out of the year are they there?

VG- the whales start arriving in December, with the peak months being January, February and March. Last year we stayed in Loreto for 10 days and did a day trip to Magdalena Bay where the whales give birth. So cool! Click on my name if you are interested in my trip report.

Thanks, Michelle - yes, I'd love to read about it!

VG- it was so exciting! I got to touch the baby whale!

MichelleY- we also did that trip 2 years ago and saw the moms teaching the babies to dive. But we're a little jealous because we didn't get to touch the whales. It was still a great trip.
