whale watching in Cabo

Has anyone had good luck with a specific whale watching outfit in Cabo? We really want to see some whales up close. Is safety an issue? Pat

Dear patted:

I cannot give a specific outfit to use in Cabo. There are regular boats that carry many people or smaller zodiacs. You can also do a very long day trip(and expensive) up to Magdalena Bay and see the mamas and babies VERY up close.

Try these links above and also go over to the Los Cabos forum on Tripadvisor for a much more active discussion.

Good luck,

When?

It depends on how close you want to get; we went on a sunset cruise 3 days ago and saw several pods. The smaller zodiacs can get much closer than the catamarans and party boats.

It depends when you will be in Cabo, whales have a 'season', it's not a year-round activity.
