Wedding in Costa Rica
 

I'm getting married in Costa Rica in late May or early June. I was thinking of the Nicoya Peninsula or somewhere further north becase I heard it was
drier at that time of year. Has anyone been to Tango Mar in Tambor? I was thinking maybe we could get married there.Any other suggestions?

Entire southern Nicoya Peninsula area very nice! Tango Mar gets decent reviews--we especially like Tambor, Montezuma and surrounding area--MalPais, Ste. Teresa, etc. Very nice area! Quite laid back--good place to relax and honeymoon. You should also check out Flor Blanca in Santa Teresa. Very upscale, food and service reported to be the top! A little too "high dollar" for us--perhaps when our ship comes in! :) You can search on the board for past postings!

Flor Blanca doesn't allow kids under 16 yrs.
old. We might have someone with kids as a guest. We looked into Tango Mar because they seem to be able to accommodate a small wedding and allows children.

Ahhhh....point taken! Have you done a search on Fodor's for Tango Mar? Seems like there were some reviews a few months ago. At one time, it was THE hotel on the southern Nicoya--along with Tambor Tropical. They were both popular in the guide books about 3 or 4 years ago. Not sure how they'd rate now.

What about Malpais, Santa Teresa or Samara. Does anyone know of a nice hotel that could host our wedding on the beach?
