Weather on the beaches end of November?

We plan to be in C.R. Nov 19-Dec 2 and wondered if the weather is somewhat cooler on the northern beaches compared with Quepos and Manuel Antonio? Least rain? Also, is it common for rental cars to have air? Thanks. Need some help with our itenerary.

We visited both areas in August so I am not sure how applicable my information will be to a November trip but here it is: Northern beaches (I am assuming you are looking at Nicoya Penninsula and north from there) were much drier, sunnier and probably hotter than Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio was actually quite cool (I'm guessing high 70s) on cloudy days, hot and humid on sunny days. We had more rain in Manuel Antonio than we had in Tamarindo.

Hi Mollie,
It's not so much cooler, but the humidity is far less, so it doesn't feel so hot and sticky. At the Guanacaste beaches the dry season starts earlier, in fact we are in the transition period already, meaning that we get less rain and more sun every day now, and it's not as hot as it gets in March or April.
It's quite common for a rental car to have airco. Perhaps some older cars or the very small ones don't, but it's not likely.
Thanks. It sounds like Tamarindo would be cooler feeling anyway. This trip is not easy to plan given the bad roads and travel times!

Would it be too hot and humid to go to the Limon area at this time? So afraid of getting sick from mosquito bites.eeek.

Some of the things I /we would like to experience:
Canopy
Canoeing
Class 2 rafting
Low level hiking
Not sure if we want to go to the coast or not. We love the jungle, rivers, strange foods, quaint architecture. Any ideas? Still some (junior suites)rooms left at the ArenalLodge during Nov 25th-30th so maybe that's an option. Thanks so much.Mollie

Mollie, its been my experience that the rental cars, even the smallest & cheapest, all have AC. I can remember running full AC through the dashboard vents to un-fog the windshield in a driving tropical rainstorm! Real fun!!
