Weather in Panama in Aug/Sept.

Planning a two week trip to Panama last week in August to first week in September. Should I consider rescheduling because of weather ? Those are the weeks I have, want to go somewhere tropical and interesting.
It will be VERY hot and even more humid since you're in the middle of rainy season. Probably uncomfortably so for most people.

On the other hand, air-conditioning is prevalent and the Interior (aka highlands) areas of El Valle, Boquette, El Baru, et alia, will be much cooler.

Thanks for the update,
I could probably handle the heat, but would be dissapointed if it rained the whole time.

on't worry about the rain at all. It tends to rain for short periods of time in the afternoon, not all day showers. It will be humid but I moved to Panama in Aug., from NY, in 96 and the humidy didn't bother me much after the first two days. Just plan on being laid back a bit, no heavy hiking, for the first 2 days and you will be fine.

Oh, it will rain all right. Every afternoon, but only for 45 minutes or an hour or so. Great galloping heavy rains with the biggest rain drops you ever saw. Then, it's over and the world is refreshed and just a bit cooler for an hour or so.
