Weather in Guanacaste?

Has anyone recently been to Guanacaste -- am going there for a week beginning next Saturday and am concerned about the weather... all forecasts say rain and thunderstorms. Will it really only rain a little?

we were there earlier this month & the forecast showed storms every day too. however, we were lucky to have sun all day & then showers & some storms in the evenings - usually when we were at dinner. we were up & on the beach usually by 8am and hung around through the afternoon. Have a great time!

Thanks for your quick response! Where did you stay?

We stayed at El Jardin del Eden in Tamarindo as well as other places throughout the country. Where will you be staying?

I am there now. Have been for the last week. Has not rained as much as I expected, and the storms have either been overnight or for a brief period in the afternoon. Brought a rain parka and unbrella and have used neither. Days warm and humid. Nights warm and humid. It has all been very pleasant.

Don't worry about the weather there. We went to Tamarindo on 3 occassions during the green season and every time the forecast said rain and thunderstorms. Each time we had good weather with plenty of sun and just occassional rain in the evenings.

Don't worry about the weather. You will probably have sunny mornings and only late afternoon or evening showers, sometimes these are brief.
