Water Quality in Costa Rica...

Can I drink the water while visiting Costa Rica?

Depends on where you are. We could drink the water at Vista del Valle where we stayed, but did not drink it anywhere else we went, only did bottled water.

My husband and I have drunk the water everywhere we have been in CR. In ten years we have covered a lot of ground and have never had any problems

we only had bottled water ( lots of it), but ate salads, cut fruit, drinks with ice cubes, etc. We ( 2 adults and 2 kids) were totally fine. Didn't use any other precautions, either ( such as vaccinations, bug spray, etc) Enjoy!

I'm with Suzie2. In 8 trips, from border to border on the Pacific side and volcano area, we have drank water everywhere from the taps and never had a problem. No vaccinations for us either.
