Volaris - A heads up!
 

I was delighted with our first experience of the above airline flying from Oaxaca to Puebla. Decent fares, good legroom and the most orderly boarding ever!

Fast forward to a couple of days ago and I got an email offering 600pesos pp to change my flight from Mérida to MEX. I didn’t think anything of it as I didn’t want to change. Today I go to check in online and notice that the dep time has moved from 09.45AM to 10:20 PM!!! Meaning an arrival at our hotel around 02:00 am. I am beyond p***ed off 🤬. I checked back to see whether I had made a mistake or missed something but no, no notification of a change at all.

I am left with no alternative but to accept this at this late stage an am having to check with the hotel in CDMX that they have 24 hour reception. If not I may have to cancel and find an alternative

Bummer.

Not this time. Was going to book there but rates had shot up so looked further afield and came up with NaNaVida a small Mexican chain with just three locations , CDMX, Oaxaca and Morelia. Still in the same Roma Norte location,which we really liked
, just a few blocks from the Stanza. Looks nice and got a great deal AND I called them and the nice kind people will let me in at 01:00 am!

Good deal! Do like that neighborhood. I wonder if there was a conference or something on your dates, as I don't see the rates to be much higher than your booking. Always good to try new places.
