Do you mean Velas Vallarta Grand Suite Resort in PV PattyS? I'm planning a trip there 11/4, would also like to know if anyone's been there? Thanks.

Hi

We stayed at the Velas Vallarta (in the marina district)2 years ago.

The resort is very nice, most rooms have an ocean view with terrace and are nicely appointed. We had a 1 bedroom with large bathroom, a small fully equipped kitchen and big living room with TV. TV in bedroom also.

We traded for it on RCI.

The beach is not great but the pool is. Not blue water like the gulf. The pool area is not very noisy but there is music playing and they have a few games like pool volleyball etc.

We ate out most of the time so I can only comment on the snack bar, which was ok. Burgers and the Guacamole dip with chips were all we ate while at the hotel.

It is in the Marina district. You can takes busses into town or taxis. They are plentiful and cheap, 30 pesos or about 3 bucks to downtown. have fun!

Oops, I mean the Grand Velas Suites Resort property. I believe it is on the beach, not the marina.

There are two hotels that are owned by the same company. Grand Velas is in Neuvo Vallarta. Velas Vallarta is in the marina district. I am also planning a trip in April to Grand Velas and any information would be greatly appreciated.
