Villa Del Sol in Mexico
 

Has anyone stayed here. Is it as good as it looks? Any comments are appreciated

hey peggy.. we stayed there in June 2001 for our honeymoon. the rooms were terrific, the beach was beautiful and immaculately groomed, the food was not great (and very pricey), the pools awesome. i loved zihuatanejo, it was a perfect place to visit and villa del sol was wonderful. be sure to get a room with a plunge pool...it's a great luxury. nancy

Hey peggy... I'd definitely do at least on lunch on the beach at VDS...it's really nice, and that food was pretty good. Having them set up a table under your palapa is a treat. Other than that I'd definitely not miss Kau Kan, and Coconuts. We liked JJ's bar in zihua for a mellow beer experience (had fun talking to folks there and the bartender is really nice). There are several restaurants along the beach that are cheaper and the food was good at the one to the right of VDS...can't remember the name but it's next to the market. have fun, nancy
