Venezuelan women?

Are the women in Venezuela REALLY as beautiful as everyone says they are?

Hugo Chavez Apr 5th, 2001 03:43 PM

Yes they are relatively good-looking but for my taste rather 'over-done'.
Too much makeup, 'big hair', and poor taste in clothes make many of them look like...well I'd better not say in a family forum. It's a look that appeals to certain types but not me.
The best looking women in Latina America are found in Nicaragua IMO.
Not just stunningly beautiful but also pleasant people easy to talk to and full of self-confidence.

roger Apr 8th, 2001 01:32 PM

no they are fat or at lease as faat as they are in the us

David Apr 28th, 2001 03:25 PM

I don't care what anybody says. I have been to Venezuela 2 times and they are the most beautiful girls in the world. High Hair? Where did you go? Over done....no way. They don't even need make-up. And if you are a gringo your a loser if you don't pick up two or three girls a week that are the most beautiful girls you have ever seen. Maybe I had it a little bit better than some. My friends are from there and I traveled with them...but if you know where to go its a sure thing. My neck hurt from looking at all the girls.

Alexis Apr 28th, 2001 05:56 PM

I was watching one of those news magazine shows (Dateline or something) about how Venezuela has the highest rate of plastic surgury in the entire world. No, I am not troll-ing. Apparently, it is considered extremely acceptable, even desirable there to "have some work done." Having bandages on your nose is kind of a status symbol. Ever notice how many Miss Universes are Venezuelan?

Jack Allen Jun 3rd, 2001 01:50 PM

I admit that I am biased; I have been dating a Venezuelan girl for two years now. I recently took a trip to visit her when she was in her country. I landed in Maracaibo, and we travelled together to Morrocoy, a national marine park.

Venezuelan women are very, very beautiful. I think that Venezuela boasts 2 or 3 Miss Universes, and 4-5 Miss Worlds. Also, the ratio of women to men is very high (7 to 1 in Caracas), so the women are highly motivated to continue looking good.

Of course, I believe that my girlfriend is one of the most spectacular looking women that I have ever seen. But I must say, I saw many, many incredible looking women in Morrocoy and on the streets of Tucacas.

I read with interest some of the other comments. I must say that I absolutely do not agree with the "over-done" comment, nor the "too fat" comment.

I strongly recommend Venezuelan girls!
Hugo Chavez Jun 4th, 2001 08:09 PM

It's important to remember the role that plastic surgery plays in Venezuelan women's lives.
As soon as she can get a job, or as a gift for her 18th birthday, a Venezolana starts undergoing a regimen of Plastic Surgery to 'correct' whatever faults society says she has been born with.
From then on it's a life-long pastime- nippin' and a tuckin' biennially.
Noses, eyes, lips, breasts, hips, butts, you name it they re-do 'em all.
Sick when you think of it but that's life in some countries.
Jack Allen doesn't know that yet but once he starts to have to pay the bills for every little staple he'll find out the truth.
I note that the latest 'Beauty Queen' from Venezuela had undergone 23 plastic surgeries by age 21!!!
Myself I prefer women as the Lord made them, personality and humour are what counts in a partner not silicone.

Silkroad Jun 5th, 2001 12:19 AM

I am going to Margarita Island in late June for 10 days. How are the women there? Should I spend some time in Caracas to see real native Venzuelan women? Thanks

david Jun 5th, 2001 09:20 PM

Venezuela women are decent lookin but I disagree with the gentlmen that said they were the beutifulist latinas! All latin countries have good lookin women, some indiginous & some europeon decent just depends on taste duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

besas Jun 11th, 2001 02:25 PM

How are the women on Margarita Island compared to Caracas?

bobcat Jun 19th, 2001 11:29 AM

Women in Caracas are by far better looking than the women on Margarita Island. I suggest you spend more time in Caracas than on MI. Good luck

Richard Jul 3rd, 2001 06:41 AM

I will be going to Caracas on July 12-15 to visit as I needed some miles on Delta and the Fair was great...I was wondering what the hot nighspots were in Caracas and how safe it is. I speak a little Spanish and love the music however I would like to see some regular girls and not just working girls as that is what seems to be posted all over the NET!!!!...Thanks
Chris Jul 11th, 2001 06:12 PM

I'm sorry guys, but in my opinion.. who cares if your woman have some plastic surgery as long as they look OK. I know the place very, very, very well and not all of them are getting "little works done". Sincerely I do agree in the fact that all Latin America girls are BEATIFUL.. SPECIALLY IN VENEZUELA AND COLOMBIA!! GOOD LUCK!!

Rebecca Jul 11th, 2001 07:22 PM

I was just in PV and at a club they had a wet boxer contest. Who won??? Of course the hottest guy at the club. He was Mr. Venezuela and one of the most attractive guys I have ever seen. If the woman looked half as good as him...they would be better than most woman in the US!!

xxx Aug 13th, 2001 07:27 AM

I have two words to describe my beautiful and stylishly dressed Venezuelan girlfriend: HIGH MAINTENANCE. Blowdry hair to get the groceries, won't cook the food she buys there. Venezolanas are extremely vain and into themselves, but mine is not too extreme. I don't know how they managed to adopt such a Beverly Hills mentality.

Nanda Dec 17th, 2001 07:37 PM

I Know it's a little bit late to answer all the comments i just read. I AM A VENEZUELAN GIRL. I 'm 17 years old and i am so impressed about what I read a minute ago.I belive Venezuelan women are beautifull, but not because of theirs look. We are beutiful because we belive in love, in honesty, in fidelity and respect with our hearts, not because our " good looking".. You are all talking about us like things, I mean, like a lamp or a doll, not a human with feeling. And I recommend you that if you haven't seen VENEZUELAN women, you might come here, make a long trip and give your oppinion about it after that.Unless you do that PLEASE.. don't open your mouth. Like in every country you can find "over done" women, uggly ones, and a lot of stuff, but i can tell you, we don't need not even make up or plastic surgery, and if we get to that extreme is only because every women around the corner is more beautiful than the last one you saw. Have you ever Kiss a Venezuela'n women?? Well try it and then get in love for all your life. We have a very different way, and that makes us speacials in every way..
Doubts, comments???... Just write me.
Something else.. HUGO CHAVEZ is such a JERK..

Ana Dec 18th, 2001 12:09 PM

This is an old post, but I do believe it requires a good answer.

First of all, I am venezuelan, but as most venezuelans, not a single one of us is a pure venezuelan. Our culture is a mixture of european (mostly Spanish, Portugese ) - with the native venezuelans. Therefore we ae an integrated culture, taking the best features of all our cultures.

Secondly, we don't eat junk food. It is not considered "food", therefore resulting in a healthier diet. This cuts down the overweight found in other countries. A venezuelan woman is very keen on her looks, and will tend to diet and eat healthy. Not to generalize, but american women do not believe in this so strongly. The fatest, grossest women I have ever seen, and in the US, mainly eating bigs clumps of ice cream, pretzels, hamburgers, etc. etc. No offense meant, just a FACT.

Thirdly, yes there is a high ratio of cosmetic surgery. But that doesn't mean ALL venezuelans do it. I personally haven't. If you can fix it, why not??

Fourthly, we dress smart. Our year long springlike climate, permits us to dress smart, wear nice pantyhose, nice skirts, smart blouses, etc. Not to be seen in most countries. No synthetic fabrics, we tend to use well cut stylish clothes.

Fifth, we are mostly highly skilled professionals. We have a high rate of professional women in very important positions of authority, both in public office as in the private industry. Women, are hired over men, because women are regarded as highly intelligent, responsible workers. When chosing, a women is preffered to be hired over a man. FACT.

Sixth, and most important, we don't put on airs. Venezuelan women are what we are, excellent professional mothers. Kind, responsible and hard working. There might be the odd exception.

BTW Mr. Hugo, you are using a name you should be ashamed of. That only demonstrates your LOW CHAUVINIST LACK OF CLASS AND LACK OF SENSE. If you wanted to state a point, GROSS mistake. You will be repulsed by all.

Ana

Ana Dec 18th, 2001 12:10 PM

BTW

There are 7 Miss Universe, and 4 Miss Worlds.

Put that in your small basket of info.

Ana

Hugo Chavez Dec 18th, 2001 05:26 PM

I stand by my original remarks.
The simple fact is that the truth hurts and that's why the Venesolana above has her nose out of joint.
Venesolanas are the vainest, shallowest and most overdone women in the Americas.
The fact that so many of them have won those 'Cattle Contests' shows

1-The nature of Cattle Contests.

2-The shallow nature of Venesolanas themselves.

Ana Dec 19th, 2001 05:54 AM

Hi Huguito:

True to the name you go for, you are a real pain in the a**.

This venezolana happens to quite the contrary to your comments.

Shame on you dear fellow. Why do I even bother with you. To set the record straight?? It seems not quite.

You are certainly entitled to you petty opinions.

Ana

Irma Dec 19th, 2001 07:38 AM

Hi Anita La Bella & Elegante:

Are you for real?? Not all venezuelan women come from your planet you know.
Some of us come from hard working families with not enough income to support our tailored clothing, plastic surgery or even higher education. Give me a break Ana.

Ana Dec 20th, 2001 04:04 AM

Hey Irma (Hugo in disguise):

Who said anything of expensive tailored clothes. I mean good taste. When have you seen an untasteful dressed venezuelan woman, or man, for that matter? Venezuelans are well noted for the way we dress, or don't you dress smart? Don't you eat healthy? Don't you believe you have a good eduaction, and manners?

Do I work hard? Well yes I do. I come into my office at 7:30 - 1PM lunch, come back at 2PM - 7:30-8PM .
Yes, I am from this planet as most hard working, good looking, venezuelan women from this dear country.

I hate it when we are put down, and mostly, when venezuelan women put themselves down.

Irma, sooooo sorry for you.

Ana

Irma Dec 21st, 2001 08:33 AM

Ana:

First of all I would like to remind you that just because my opinion about our Venezuelan women differs from yours doesn't mean that we have to use vulgarity like name calling, please show your education by respecting other people's opinions and the respect will be mutual. And second I don't need your pitty I'm happy the way I'm and that's all it counts for me.
I hope you have a very nice Holiday Season.

suzie Dec 21st, 2001 11:20 AM

Hey you two...how long is this bullfight going to last ?

I live in Caracas but I'm from Argentina.. and one funny thing is that venezuelan men who travel to Buenos Aires say that they love Argentinian women..I also hear very good comments from all the men who come from abroad about how beautiful Venezuelan women are..well, I think they are beautiful. And let me just say that the plastic surgery issue is pure rubbish..when I lived in Argentina the number of women AND men who had nose jobs was impressive..so it's not just Venezuelans who like to go under the knife..and you know what?? why don't you try going to California and check out the Plastic Surgery clinics there?? You'll be surprised..they're constantly full !!
and one last thing...I personally had a nose job years ago..any regrets? absolutely not !! Am I shallow and vain or maybe an airhead? forget it !! I'm about to get my masters degree and speak four languages.....

Hugo Chavez Dec 21st, 2001 06:28 PM

Thank You 'Suzie' for showing us that it's not just Venesolanas that are self-possesed.
It's been a long-time axiom in Latina America that Argentines are the most selfish, uptight and generally unlikeable people on the Continent, your post illustrates this all too well.
See the daily headlines for more info.
Surlok Dec 21st, 2001 06:59 PM

Hugo,

Let's try to sort the issue out: what is being discussed here, beauty, shallowness, or what?

Let's stick with the concept, regardless citizenship (since it seems all agree that "Venezolana" are indeed, beautiful), of women ( or men) that are concerned ( I didn't say overly concerned) about their physical appearance. Let's assume someone doesn't like her ( or his) nose, so, she
( or he) has it changed. Does it mean that this person is shallow? Or do you mean that intellectuals, or humanists, or whichever category you choose, worry only about literacy, books, and cultural issues? Aren't intellectuals human beings, and entitled to want to look better, or at least to have their physical characteristics changed and being more comfortable with who they are, what obviously includes the body they have?

Regards,

S

PS: I'm not "Venozolana", but Brazilian.

Ana Dec 22nd, 2001 04:02 AM

Irma:
Happy Holidays to you too. Name calling is not my agenda. I just have problems with generalizations and people putting themselves down.

Huguitos trollish remarks are meant to bring out the best in us, and trigger heated discussion on the matter.

Ana
Hugo Chavez Dec 25th, 2001 08:45 PM

And I repeat my original remarks

"Yes they are relatively good-looking but for my taste rather 'over-done'.
Too much makeup, 'big hair', and poor taste in clothes make many of them look like...well I'd better not say in a family forum. It's a look that appeals to
certain types but not me.
The best looking women in Latina America are found in Nicaragua IMO.
Not just stunningly beautiful but also pleasant people easy to talk to and full of self-confidence."

The scrapping/cat fighting between the 2 self-appointed "Keepers of Venesolana Womanhood" here is a perfect example why any Guy who respects himself and others as well should steer clear of those Broads- 'nuf said!

Gerardo Dec 28th, 2001 03:52 AM

If you need to see a "real" venezuelan women go to:

www.tachiraweb.com/especiales/aurazambrano/

If need any help call at 911.

;-)

Vivan la mujeres venezolanas!!!!!!!

Hugo Chavez Dec 28th, 2001 08:51 PM

Exactly the kind of made-up Bimbo I was talking about.
Heckuva beak on her too-she'll have to pay some serious bolivars to get that thing trimmed down.
I note that the lips have been 'done' as well as the thighs and breasts.
Someone needs to mention the moustache to her-maybe Gerardo likes 'em with moustaches but most men don't.

Michael Jan 6th, 2002 08:05 PM

Hey Hugo Chavez!!
I have to agree with many of the people who responded to your comments. You are an asshole!!!! After insulting the women from Venezuela, you then went on the attack of the Argentinians. I can tell you, I am an American of Italian descent and I wouldn't even consider dating another American girl if my life depended on it! My present girlfriend is from Mendoza Argentina and she is the most fantastic woman I have met. I am a former male model, so (not bragging) I have been fortunate to have met my share of beautiful women. I have met several women from Venezuela and the only thing better than their outer beauty is their inner beauty. They are very sweet and sincere. You would hardy ever even get an beautiful American girl to talk to you unless you have plenty of money. I travel to Europe aften, especially Paris and I will say that there are many beautiful women all around the world, but it is the "attitude" that counts and the Latin women have the best attitudes! They are usually very faithfuland GREAT lovers. When the American women find all the American men switching to the Latin women, maybe then they'll get a clue.

Jane Jun 20th, 2002 10:33 PM

I'm an American woman who lived in Caracas for four years. I lived the culture, but never "quite" became part of it from the feminine aspect.
I say this because I can count on one hand a Venezolana that was what she presented herself to be.
Are they family oriented and hard working? Certainly. Are they manipulative, cunning, gold diggers and two-faced? YES!!!!!! (Ladies who do not fit this profile, will please forgive my remarks). If you don't fit the profile, then you know what I'm saying is true.
As for looks...so much emphasis is placed on a womans sexuality in Venezuela. Perhaps her sex appeal is a better word. I thought the mode of dress was a little too risque. I mean, God forbid you walk down the street and not get responses, (ssssssss) and remarks.
It just doesn't seem to be about what you are, but what you appear to be.
Yes, they are good mothers and keep a tidy house, but I've heard enough about loyalty and fidelity. Though, with much passion and conviction, they profess to be, there are VERY few Venezolanas that were actually faithful.
Venezuela is a beatiful country, but men watch your wallet and your woman. Women, watch your man and other, women around you. If you have more than they do... your man is the prey!!!!!
(And these women are sooooooooo convincing!!) I NEVER would've believed it had I not seen it myself.
No conclusion came over-night.
Jane

jack Jan 2nd, 2003 07:31 AM

As one of the orignal respondents some time ago, I thought that I would weigh in with another response.

I ended up marrying the Maracucha that I was dating. I must say that there are very few things in life that end up better than you anticipate, but this is one of them.

I still think that she is one of the most beautiful women in the world. At the same time, she is a fantastic partner. As some other people have indicated, she tries to make certain that she and I eat healthily at all times. She is caring and has a positive attitude at all times. We laugh a lot. No, she has not had any plastic surgery. And no, she has not gotten fat, although we have both gained a few since marriage. And yes, she is educated (3 degrees-- nursing, computer engineering, and computer science). And yes, she is very sexy, but in a natural way, not in some kind of trashy way

She does not wear much makeup, and I don't find her vain, either. She does, however, have a good fashion sense, and she does like to dress well and look good. She manages to do this without spending much money at all, by the way.

Based on a sample size of one, I would say that the things that Ana and some others say are quite true.

Regarding the dress issue, yes, it is true that the Venezuelan women that I have seen may not dress "appropriately" per US standards. I submit to you that this is cultural, just watch Telemundo or Univision for a while. By their standards, women in the US dress like an old woman (vieja?) all of the time. This is simply a cultural difference, and my wife now knows how and when to adapt to a US understanding of "appropriate dress".

While I don't want to denigrate any of the other posters (one in particular), I have to say that my own experience does not bear out any of the negative comments.

I would strongly recommend a Venezolana to anyone looking for beauty, intelligence, fidelity, homemaking, confidence, sense of humor, sexiness, work ethic, etc.

jna
