What do you mean by "unique"? Do you mean high-end fine-dining? Or just an interesting local setting and food?
The River Cafe Mariscos Polo's Cafe Roma Teatro Limon Cafe Bohemio Joe Jack's Fish Shack La Piazzetta The Red Cabbage Barcelona Tapas Trio Vitea La Palapa Cafe des Artistes Chez Elena Tino's Mariscos ...are all great places of varying price and atmosphere. |
thanks suze for your quick reply.
At this time im leaning , because of the reviews on a lot of the other puerto vallarta message boards, towards either Teatro Limon or quite pssibly the other place in bucerias. At this time the name of the place escapes me. Have you experienced Teatro limon,or have any friends who have? I know that the chef is suposed to be pretty good and apparently it is in his home. Do they have a nice wine list etc. ? sally |
Nope, sorry I've never been.
Teatro Limon is a fairly new restaurant, more $ than I spend, and not in the part of town I stay in. Yes Bruce is the chef and owner. He used to own Bruce's Back Alley Bistro on the south-side. I'm sure it's a very nice place. I don't mean to be unhelpful and I do go to PV every year (have for years) but I eat most at more casual places in the Old Town (about 1/2 of those on the list above). |
If you're reading & posting on the other Puerto Vallarta-specific forums, you've already got good restaurant information I'm sure. There's only a couple PV people here on Fodor's

Don't forget La Bodeguita del Medio on the Malecon --Great Cuban food, great ambience and verrrry cold beer.

...and salsa dancing in the evenings
