Tulum - stay at Tulum Pueblo or Zona Hotelera?
 
Greetings!

We're going to Tulum from Dec 30-Jan 4. I was hoping to get people's thoughts about staying in Tulum Pueblo or by the beach? We don't mind biking/walking or taking public transportation. I guess we're trying to weigh daily trips to the beach versus having more food/drinking options in town. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

The bus does not travel the Tulum beach road, your choices are a rental car or taxi (some people bike, it depends how far you want to travel, one of my faves, Ziggy Beacch Bar at Cabanas Tulum, is at Km 7 or so).
