Thanks for responding to the post on the Mayan Palace. My daughter and son-in-law are going there. I notice you have a time share in Cabo. My husband and I are going this coming Monday for 5 nights at the Westin Resort & Spa. Any recommendations?

Dear trigo:
Here is a link to our Cabo trip in 2/06:

The Westin is supposed to be great.
Our 2/06 trip was with our daughter, age 12, so the trip was more oriented towards her. We stayed at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, on the Pacific side. Very secluded and quiet.
This last October, my husband & I took a quick trip to Cabo, staying at another timeshare. It is called the Coral Baja, by Worldmark. This is nearer to SJdel Cabo and a much smaller resort. We bought food at the Mega store and mostly ate in. We only ate out about 4 times. We also rented a car for the first time. We felt this was very handy. We did a day trip to Todos Santos, a trip into CSL and a trip to SJ del Cabo. In the past, we have used taxis or the bus, which also worked well.
I would like to go again to see the whale sanctuary in Magdalena Bay. You may luck out and still be able to catch them. Here is a link to a whale trip:

My favorite restaurant is Mi Casa in CSL. I love the Carnitas Michoacan!!
Have fun, avoid the timeshare guys at the airport, and please report back.
