trip report cancun
just spent 4 days. not enough time. the beach was amazing Ihave never seen such beautiful water and wonderful waves. stayed at the Gran Melia. Incredible hotel. Food was great, service great and best of all the palapas (thatched roof beds that you lay on. Wonderful, did not want to leave hotel or beach.
Where else are the beached similar? Love the blueness and the waves.

Negril, Jamaica
Provo, TCI
Isla Mujeres
Tulum
Playa del Carmen (the only one with similar waves to Cancun)
Anguilla
Out Islands of the Bahamas
Most do not have the waves that Cancun has, but there is the color - ahhh, that color...

I agree with Tulum, Playa del Carmen and Isla Mujeres - have been to them all. But my vote for the best has to be the Out Islands of the Bahamas - especially the Exuma Cays - I loved it there; however there weren't any waves when we were there. Tulum had some pretty good sized waves the couple of times we visited.
