trip help

Is is worth giving up a day in arenal to go to monteverde. We are spending 2 nights in arenal. Should we spend three there and give up the cloud forest.
We planned to take the original canopy tour in Monteverde. We heard that this was the best place to take it.
Thankyou

forgot to add that we are traveling from Manuel antonio to arenal by way of monteverde. My question is should we forget about monteverde to have 3 nights and 3 days in areenal instead of the 2 nights and 2 days that we have now?
thanks

If you are the kind of person...that enjoy a huge garden...go to Monteverde...but if you like some action...stay in Arenal!!

Just buckle up and enjoy the ride in paradise!!

I think you'll be much happier concentrating on Arenal. Save Monteverde for later, when you can spend more time there. There are a couple of VERY good zipline tours at Arenal--Skytrek and the 18 ziplines at Arenal Paraiso hotel. You'd also enjoy the Cano Negro tour--it is truly a day well spent. Great wildlife, excellent guides, nice river ride! :)

We decided to give up Monteverde and just do Arenal. We were interested mostly in seeing the wildlife, and Cano Negro really delivered. It was absolutely the highlight of our trip; for us, Arenal had much more to offer.

I agree, give up Monteverde, the road to get there is not worth it. The Sky Trek/Zip Line in Arenal is amazing, did not do the one in Monteverde, but heard it entailed a lot of walking/climbing. We wish we had spent one more night in Arenal.
