I'll be spending a few weeks in Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia (Angkor Wat), mostly Thailand islands though. I'm due for some serious R&R after finishing my MBA!! I imagine I'll be doing some more Latin America trips in the somewhat near future though :)

DO NOT GO WITH TRICOLOR, I SECOND THIS WARNING!

We had a terrible experience with Tricolor.

Cut a long story short, we broke the windscreen.

we told Claus we were happy to pay for a replacement, we got 2 quotes, at 150 dollars each.

HE CHARGED US OVER $1000 DOLLARS!!!!!!

When we brought the car back, he was aggressive, evasive and promised us it would be reasonable (but couldn't tell us the price until we had left the country). Then hit us with over $1000 dollars, when we knew full well the price should be 150.

the way it was done was exactly the same as similar reviews of their behaviour. I filmed Claus for our own safety!!!!!!

The car itself was 10 years old, smashed up, and we were never given a damage report at the start of the hire, so we think that the original intention had always been to scam us.

BEWARE and especially of other good reviews of their service, which on re-read many look bogus to me.
