Traveling with an Infant and a 3 yearold advice

We will be traveling to arenal and manuel antonio next winter and will be bringing are then 1 year old and 3 year old with us, any advice for me? The 3 year old shouldn't be a problem but what about supplies for the 1 year old i.e. dipers, milk? due to the weight restrictions on the flights we will not be able to bring evetything we will need for a 14 day trip. Thanks

They sell diapers in Costa Rica and they have pausterized milk too. One of my daughter's favorite snacks at that age was american cheese (queso procesado) which was also easy to get. The baby food they have is usually Heinz, which comes in some pretty strange flavors, but it's all edible. And of course there's fruit and eggs and rice and lots of other things that kids like to eat.

Regarding baby food, green veggies are impossible to find. Bring a few along with you. You won't have any trouble at all finding what you need--have a great time!

As of last summer, they only carry huggies products in the giant supermercados. We had good luck packing a big army rucksack with diapers and supplies. Bring enough for the first few days at least in case you don't get to the supermercado right away. I would bring some staple vegetables with you but you can always get beans, rice, and bananas everywhere.

We've seen diapers even in the smaller places--almost without fail--have traveled every year of the last 3 with a child in diapers.

Even down on the more remote Osa Peninsula.
