Travel from Monte Verde to Cahuita
 

We are looking to go to Cahuita after leaving Monte Verde. What is the best/economical way to get there? Public bus? We would like to go later in the afternoon so we don't wast a whole day traveling. Also we would appreciate some suggestions on places to stay and what your suggestions would be on things to do. Thank you all so much for your advise and suggestions!!

Monteverde to Cahuita will eat up a whole day of traveling. There's no way around it. The last public bus from San Jose to Cahuita leaves at 4 p.m. and gets to Cahuita around 8 p.m. That means you have to take the early-morning bus from Monteverde to San Jose to get you there in time.

Ok sounds like we are going to Plan B which is a beach on the Pacific side. What is your best recommendations for that? We like less crowded beaches.
